Anyone Transporting Agrees to the below Rules:
1. Passengers must wear their seatbelt including the shoulder strap at all times. If you have shunts, ports or recent surgeries you may sit in the left or right seat, which ever is best for you. If you need a towel or small pillow to help that's fine.
2. We are a FRAGRANCE FREE company. We ask all patients refrain from wearing or using any fragrance, cologne, or scented lotions, during transportation. We have drivers and patients that are highly asthmatic, allergic and sensitive to fragrance.
3. There is NO live streaming, filming or taking videos or pictures with you phone or other equipment while in our vehicles. People doing so wiWe ask that you use earbuds or headphones when listening to music, watching movies, or playing games on you cell phones or iPads while transporting. Our drivers may play music quietly over the vehicle sound system if everyone agrees. But we recommend your bringing your own headphones or earbuds.
4. Please bring bottled water, a brown bag lunch, and any food you may need. You may eat in the car. We allow fast food stops if your 1 leg trip is greater than 2 hours, meaning you are transporting a total of 4 plus hours not including your appointment wait time. Exceptions are made for those who have been fasting, etc. The stop must be directly along the route. Grocery store stops and shopping stops such as Safeway and or Walmart are not allowed. Insurance coverage is from Door to Door, your house to your medical appointment, only. Other than restroom breaks no other stops are allowed per Medi-Cal Rules and PHC Rules.
5. Anyone appearing sick, such as coughing or appearing with flu like symptoms will be asked to wear a mask. We provide ARMBRUST Surgical Level III FDA approved mask made in the USA. If asked to wear our mask you must do so.
6. You may NOT transport...according to Medi-Cal rules and ours any illegal drugs, marijuana, or alcohol during your medical transportation which is paid by the State of California. You may not smoke or vape in the vehicle or near the vehicle. NO STOPS to purchase any of the above is allowed. Pharmaceutical stops must be through a drive thru or our driver will go inside with you. We HIGHLY recommend having your medication sent to you; however, ANYONE who has just had surgery out-patient or in-patient must pick up the medication scripted to you.
7. You may not harass, threaten, bully, or threaten to sue us or a driver at any time, or you will be asked to exit the vehicle and find your own way back. We maintain the right to cancel your trip at any time if applicable to the above. In which case PHC will be contacted. They may or may not send out another provider depending on the case.
8. Medi-Cal indicates we have the right to transport you with other patients if your appointments are within 1/2 hour of each other. DO NOT INQUIRE about other patients medical conditions or appointment times. Everybody is entitled to their HIPPA Privacy Rights.
9. If in an accident you must remain at the scene until PHC or Emergency Services sends another Medical Transportation company to pick you up. You may NOT get in a vehicle with strangers! An assigned NEMT or an Emergency Vehicle Provider will be re-assigned and sent out to get you. This is for your own safety! If out of a cell covered area, other vehicles passing by will be asked to phone 911 and to help get assistance. Stay calm, stay safe! Our driver's are trained to deal with such emergencies. Please follow and obey directions to the best of your ability to help keep you safe. REMEMBER our driver's are trained and current in the courses of First Aid, CPR, AED and in what to do in case of such emergencies. Additional emergency staff will arrive. Be patient!
