SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS
FOR DRIVERS AND CARE ATTENDANTS MUST
BE ABLE TO FOLLOW DIRECTIONS
Read the below information carefully and note the following:
All drivers with LPMT are employees and are paid an hourly rate.
No driver's are commissioned, contracted, or operate on any kind of percentage bases.
Drivers clock in from the time they leave Base until
the time they arrive back at Base.
No personal vehicles are used.
A CANDIDATE MUST FIRST SUCCESSFULLY PASS A PRE EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREEN -
WITHIN 5 DAYS OF THE REQUEST.
IF YOU TAKE MEDICATION THAT IS SCRIPTED TO YOU;
THE MEDICAL EXAMINER WILL CONTACT YOUR PHARMACY TO VERIFY YOUR SCRIPT.
DO NOT ASSUME YOUR MEDICATION IS NOT OKAY.
THAT BEING SAID HOWEVER; - YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE
ANY MEDICATION SCRIPTED OR NOT THAT WILL CLASSIFY AS A DUI WHILE DRIVING.
IF YOU QUALIFY ABOVE THEN YOU MUST:
PASS A CRIMINAL STATE, FEDERAL AND COUNTY BACKGROUND CHECK
HAVE A CLEAN CLASS C OR B CALIFORNIA DRIVER'S LICENSE
IF NOT LOCATED NEAR FLEET HEADQUARTERS
A CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO GET TO A SUBSTATION WHERE THERE VEHICLE IS PARKED
NO VEHICLES MAY BE LEFT UNATTENDED AT A NON DESIGNATED SUBSTATION
DRIVERS MUST BE 25 YEARS OR OLDER
BE ABLE TO PHYSICALLY ASSIST DISABLED CITIZENS
BE ABLE TO PHYSICALLY ASSIST PATIENTS IN AND OUT OF A VEHICLE AND INTO FACILITIES
BE ABLE TO PUSH AND ASSIST IN PUSHING PATIENTS IN WHEELCHAIRS
BE ABLE TO LIFT WHEELCHAIRS IN AND OUT OF VEHICLES
BE ABLE TO PHYSICALLY PERFORM CPR, FIRST AID AND OFFER EMERGENCY SERVICES
BE ABLE TO DRIVE LONG HOURS WITH A MINIMUM OF 6 - 16 HOURS PER DAY
BE ABLE TO PHYSICALLY DETAIL AND VACUUM A CAR WITHIN AN HOUR.
PASS TRAINING PROVIDED BY THE EMPLOYER, STATE and INSURANCE COMPANIES
BE ABLE TO OBEY, OBSERVE AND UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF CA HIPPA LAWS
BE ABLE TO FOLLOW DIRECTIONS and LISTEN TO OTHERS
BE ABLE TO OBEY CALIFORNIA SPEED LAWS
AND OTHER LAWS PERTAINING TO DRIVING
SHOW RESPECT AND OFFER ASSISTANCE TO ANY LAW ENFORCEMENT
AGENT OR OFFICER AS A FIRST AID RESPONDER IF ASKED OR NEEDED
BE ABLE TO MAKE SURE YOUR PATIENT IS SECURE AND REMAINS IN THE VEHICLE
AT ALL TIMES; DURING ANY ASSISTANCE BEING OFFERED AS A FIRST AID RESPONDER
AND DURING TRANSPORTATION.
BE ABLE TO DETAIL THE VEHICLE ASSIGNED TO YOU.
DETAILING THE VEHICLE INVOLVES ON A DAILY BASIS:
WASHING, VACUUMING, SANITIZING, DETAILING, SPRAYING,
CHECKING THE TIRES AND HAVING THE OIL CHANGED
BE ABLE TO UTILIZE GOOGLE MAPS, AND OTHER NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEMS
HAVE A WORKING CELL PHONE, COMPUTER AND PRINTER.
BE ABLE TO SCAN AND SEND DOCUMENTS ON A DAILY BASIS.
BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY AND EFFICIENTLY.
HAVE A PROFESSIONAL DEMEANER AT ALL TIMES AND BE ABLE
TO ADHERE TO LPMT DRESS CODE
AS WELL AS STANDARDS OF NOT USING SWEARING/FOUL LANGUAGE.
HAVE TRUE EMPATHY FOR OTHERS.
SHOULD LOVE THE MEDICAL INDUSTRY AND WANT TO BE A PART OF IT,
SHOULD ENJOY ASSISTING INDIVIDUALS IN HEALING,
GETTING THEIR TREATMENTS AND THERAPY'S ACCOMPLISHED.
PREFERENCE IS GIVEN TO CNA'S, CURRENT NEMT OR NMT DRIVERS
AND OTHERS WITH MEDICAL AND MEDICAL REGISTRATION EXPERIENCE
